Anna's Music Studio

Music has been Anna's passion and part of her life starting with listening to her musician parents and then her formal piano lessons at the age of 7-years-old. She became a professional flutist in high school playing with Oregon's Portland City Band. Continuing into college music classes, she started teaching private lessons on string and wind instruments. She has attended many teacher training and workshops incorporating the Alexander Technique and Suzuki Method in utilizing the proper control of correct muscles and posture when playing an instrument. She believes that learning to love an instrument for the pure enjoyment of playing, should also involve learning the history, theory and development of good aural and reading interpretations of the music.
